How Can I Help You Grow Your Business?

Robert walburn

Where It All Began

I started my career at Target, working my way up the ranks and grinding through 50-60 hour workweeks. I was a workaholic, chasing promotions, a bigger paycheck, and the approval of my peers and wife. But no matter how hard I worked, I always felt like I wasn’t doing enough.Instead of finding balance, I just worked more. The only way I thought I could keep my job and stay ahead was to give it everything.

...And I did.

Holidays... Black Fridays. Weekends. Late nights. Early mornings. I was doing what I thought was right—providing, grinding, climbing the corporate ladder.

Until I looked up and realized…

My wife had left.

We weren’t even speaking.

She moved out. And for the first time, I felt completely lost. I had a mortgage to pay, bills to cover, and a job that demanded every ounce of me while I tried to fix what was broken.

The Turning Point

I tried everything to fix my marriage—flowers, gifts, messages, showing up where she was—but nothing worked. After months of feeling stuck, I found myself praying for the first time since I was a kid.

That was it!

That was the moment everything shifted. I started going back to church and building a relationship with Christ, rebuilding my faith, and working on myself instead of just trying to "fix" my marriage. And then something incredible happened—she started talking to me again!

That’s when I realized:

✅ I had lost sight of why I was working so hard.

✅ My identity had been wrapped up in my job, not in God or my family.

✅ If I wanted time for what mattered, I had to create it.

So I did.

I started pulling back from work and looking for ways to get my time back. That’s when I heard about fix & flip and rental real estate and read Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki.

That book changed everything.

I realized there were other ways to build income—ways that didn’t require trading time for money like society conditioned us to do.

How I Built My Path to Freedom

I jumped into real estate investing, got mentorship, and learned how to create passive income.

I started with:

🏡 Real estate rentals

📜 Note investing (being the bank)

💰 Private lending for sober living rentals

And here’s what I learned:

Most people want financial freedom, but they don’t know where to start.

Most people want time with their families, but their jobs won’t let them have it... And the biggest thing I saw?

People in my church had no idea how money worked either.

They worked hard. They saved. But they were still stuck in the paycheck-to-paycheck cycle, hoping retirement would be enough.

So I expanded my mission.

I started helping people with financial literacy—not just in real estate, but in their entire financial journey:

✔ Building cash flow (so their money works for them)

✔ Paying off debt faster (without sacrificing their lifestyle)

✔ Protecting their assets (so their families are covered in any emergency)

✔ Planning for early, tax-free retirement (so they’re not working until 65+)

✔ Leaving a legacy (so their wealth serves generations)

That’s how I found my true calling—giving people a clear roadmap to financial clarity so they could stop working themselves into exhaustion and start actually living.

Who I Am Today & My Vision for the Future

🔹 I now run a financial strategy business, helping families and faith-driven parents create a real plan for their money and future.

🔹 I help people transition out of jobs they feel stuck in—the right way, with financial confidence.

🔹 I show people how to build a back-up plan while still working, so they don’t have to rely on their employer forever.

But this isn’t just about me.

In the next 5 years, I see my business:

🔥 Helping 1,000 agents leave their jobs to start their own financial services businesses.

🔥 Funding 400+ sober living homes and building a City of Refuge for women & children in need.

🔥 Traveling the country in our RV teach families financial literacy, homeschooling my kids, and bringing more people to Christ.

Because this isn’t just about money.

It’s about time.

It’s about freedom.

It’s about serving others.

"You can have everything in life you want, if you will just help enough other people get what they want."

Frequently Asked Questions

Why did you leave a ‘stable’ job to do this?

Because I realized that "stable" was just another word for "trapped." I was giving my best years to a job that would replace me in a week. I wanted real freedom.

What’s the biggest money mistake you made?

Thinking that a bigger paycheck would fix everything. I had to learn that money isn’t just about how much you make—it’s about how you manage, multiply, and protect it.

How does faith play into your financial journey?

Everything I do is built on the idea that God calls us to be good stewards. Wealth isn’t about greed—it’s about creating opportunities to serve, give, and provide.

What’s one thing people misunderstand about financial freedom?

They think it means making millions. It doesn’t. Financial freedom is having enough cash flow and security to make decisions based on faith and values, not fear.

If someone feels stuck in their job, what’s the FIRST step they should take?

Get financial clarity. If you don’t know your numbers, you won’t know your options. The first step is understanding how to increase cash flow so you can start transitioning.

What’s your long-term vision for helping families?

I want to empower 1,000 families to break free from financial stress, get their time back, and leave a legacy for generations.
